Feast

April 2021

MumKIND presents FEAST - a shared meal and a shared experience for the women and children who are supported by the Vinnie’s Women’s Crisis Centre.

Sharing food has always been central to human relationships.

Sitting down at a prepared table, slowing your pace, enjoying delicious food - surrounded by others sharing the experience is a global pleasure.

The sounds of appreciation, the smells and the flavours all bring joy.

Over a meal, differences can be neutralised, friendships can be forged & relationships fortified. There’s opportunity for conversation - the exchange of experiences and stories makes the meal all-the-more memorable.

Food brings back memories of people and places and it connects you to those people and places.

Partnering with The Family Cook, Kilter & Felkke, we are filled with pride to bring this opportunity to these deserving women on April 10.

Special thanks to Victoria and the wonderful team at The Family Cook who have designed and prepared an incredible three course menu. The children have a special meal of their own - and a fun movie night set up with DVD’s, beanbags and of course lolly bags.

The entire event has been designed by Felicity & Kelsey from Felkke and wowee it’s beautiful; they have gone to huge lengths to think of every last detail to ensure that the night feels special.

The tables will come to life with beautiful blooms from the one-and-only Emily from Kilter who has thrown her heart and soul into designing bespoke posies for the perfect finishing touch to this event.

And of course this is all made possible by the amazing support of the MumKIND donors and supporters. 2020 was a tough year and we are so delighted to be back out speaking with our charity partners about what they need and delivering kindness to women and children in SA.

We’re always grateful to be able to work with and support the incredible team at Vinnies SA and the Women’s Crisis Centre. We’re forever grateful for the collaboration and the friendship that comes from so many brilliant humans.

Thank you Felkke, Kilter & The Family Cook.
