MumKIND is thrilled to launch our major initiative for 2020 | Get Changed.
We have been working for many months with a range of specialists across the state who operate either within the not-for-profit space or the fashion industry - and who have a deep appreciation for the emerging movement around 'slow clothes' and 'up-cycling' as well as ethical fashion - and of course local design & manufacturing.
We know that the sale of high-quality clothing in op shops is an important revenue source for many charities and is used to support the most marginalised people in our society. The shops run by these charities are staffed by volunteers and rely on high-quality donations and also on our purchases. You'll be amazed at what goodies you can find in an op shop and what a brilliant way to support the environment too.
The Get Changed campaign is asking our generous supporters to donate winter coats, dresses, jumpers, skirts, pants, jeans, hats and boots, and summer dresses, trousers, shorts and sandals - and even special occasion items like evening dresses and dinner suits.
If it’s in great condition, we can find a home for it. All sizes are welcome.
If you'd like to be part of this campaign, please scan your wardrobe and consider how an item that once brought you much joy can now benefit others - an item that you have loved but which would have significant positive impact on the life of someone else.
